Features

The PA300-200 is a 200-watt electric siren engineered for police, fire, and emergency response vehicles that require clear, dependable audible warning and straightforward system control. With siren tones, public address, radio rebroadcast, air horn, and programmable inputs in one compact platform, it helps agencies configure emergency vehicle warning systems around their operational requirements.

Technology & Performance

The PA300-200 delivers 200 watts of audio output and is designed to meet or exceed SAE J1849 sound requirements when paired with (2) 100-watt Federal Signal speakers. It supports 12/24 Vdc vehicle electrical systems, operates across a frequency range of 182 to 1600 Hz, and provides reliable performance in temperatures from -40°F to +176°F (-40°C to +80°C).

Default selectable tones include wail, yelp, priority, HI-LO, and air horn. A library of additional selectable siren tones is available through Convergence Network Configuration Software. The included microphone supports public address functions, while radio rebroadcast helps personnel communicate audible information outside the vehicle when needed.

Safety & Reliability

For emergency response operations, audible warning performance must remain dependable under demanding conditions. The PA300-200 includes speaker diagnostics designed to detect speaker faults, with a programmable diagnostic LED on the keypad that can provide steady or flashing indication for fault or normal speaker operation.

Horn Ring Transfer and Park Kill functions support operational control during vehicle use. The unit carries a five-year warranty and uses a negative-ground electrical configuration. Because sirens and speakers can produce sound levels necessary to request the right-of-way, hearing protection should be used as appropriate during testing and service.

Integration & Control

The PA300-200 control faceplate combines a seven-position rotary switch, volume control, speaker diagnostics, and two backlit buttons for direct operation. Four general-purpose input circuits, plus dedicated park, horn, and ignition inputs, provide installation flexibility. The ignition input is active-high, while the other inputs can be configured for active-high or active-low operation.

Two FS Convergence Network ports enable connection with compatible Federal Signal light bars and directional warning lights. Using Convergence Network Configuration Software, installers and fleet personnel can create siren configurations on a laptop, extract and store existing programs for service, and clone programmed functions across a fleet through USB transfer. This helps standardize police siren and fire truck siren configurations while simplifying vehicle upfitting and ongoing fleet support.

Applications

The PA300-200 electric siren is suited for police vehicles, fire apparatus, and other emergency vehicles that need a configurable 200-watt siren with public address, radio rebroadcast, air horn, and networked warning-system integration. Its combination of programmable inputs, speaker diagnostics, and fleet-cloning capability supports agencies seeking consistent emergency vehicle warning operation across multiple vehicles
