Valor® Emergency Vehicle Light Bar

When evaluating a police lightbar, agencies should consider warning visibility from all approach angles, vehicle fit, lighting configurations, controller compatibility, installation requirements, and long-term durability. The Federal Signal Valor® lightbar is designed to support these needs with a low-profile, non-linear shape, 360-degree warning coverage, enhanced off-axis visibility, configurable warning and scene-lighting functions, and compatibility with Federal Signal control systems.

The Valor® lightbar uses a non-linear, low-profile design and Solaris® LED reflector technology to provide 360-degree warning output and enhanced off-axis visibility. This helps make the warning signal more noticeable from merging lanes, intersections, roadside approaches, and other angles where motorists may not be directly in front of or behind the police vehicle.

The Valor® lightbar’s one-piece dome and IP65-rated construction helps reduce equipment failure downtime from moisture and debris.
The optional Heatwave™ technology helps prevent snow and ice buildup during patrols, providing a clear warning light event in winter conditions.

The Valor® lightbar is available in 44-inch and 51-inch lengths. The 44-inch model may suit patrol sedans, compact SUVs, and vehicles with limited roof space, while the 51-inch model may be appropriate for larger SUVs, pickups, command vehicles, and other wider-roof platforms. The Valor® lightbar includes three priority operating modes and a library of (27) flash patterns for configuring response, scene-management, and lower-priority warning modes. Available functions can include front and rear cutoff, dimming, intersection warning, takedown lights, alley lights, and rear SignalMaster® directional-warning capability. Select SpectraLux® configurations can allow individual light heads to support up to three colors and perform multiple functions, such as warning, floodlighting, or directional warning.

The Valor® lightbar can integrate with compatible Federal Signal Pathfinder® siren and light controllers through the Federal Signal Convergence Network. Network connections use RJ45/CAT5-style cabling to help simplify compatible system installation, configuration, and control. Depending on the controller and system configuration, agencies can control functions such as warning modes, cutoff, takedowns, alley lights, low-power operation, and directional warning from a centralized interface.

The Valor® lightbar is compatible with Federal Signal Pathfinder® siren and light controllers, including Pathfinder®/PF200 systems and Pathfinder® PF400 and PF400Q models. For integrated control through the Federal Signal Convergence Network, select a serial-compatible Valor® lightbar configuration and compatible controller. Routine lightbar maintenance should include cleaning the lenses, inspecting mounting hardware and wiring during scheduled vehicle servicer.
