Features

PA300-100 is a compact, programmable emergency vehicle siren with self-contained controls. The police vehicle siren is easy to install and incorporates Convergence Network Configuration Software for customizable control. The software is downloadable from the Federal Signal website easy emergency vehicles programming from your laptop. 

The control faceplate includes a rotary switch, volume control, siren speaker diagnostics, and backlit buttons. The buttons can be programmed for press-on, press-off, momentary, and multiple different blinking styles. Button brightness can be dimmed or turned off for stealth operation. 

PA300-100 is designed to detect siren speaker faults. The diagnostic LED is available on the front of the keypad, is fully programmable, and can be set to steady burn or flash when the siren detects a fault or normal operation for the siren speaker.

PA300-100 default siren sounds include wail, yelp, priority, HI-LO, and air horn. A library of other siren sounds is available in the software. PA300-100 also includes two serial ports to be used with FS Convergence Network devices, such as light bars or warning lights for plug-and-play installation. Other features include horn ring transfer, public address with microphone, and radio rebroadcast. PA300-100 has connections for four general-purpose input circuits, plus dedicated inputs for park, horn, and ignition. Programming Software 

The Federal Signal Convergence Network allows the user to plug-and-play simply by connecting the siren to the emergency vehicle’s light bar. PA300-100 gives the user the ability to clone an entire fleet of siren functions.  Contact us or your representative for more information.

Warnings

Audible Equipment may produce LOUD sounds necessary to request the right-of-way. Audible equipment may cause hearing damage. Wear hearing protection. Refer to the Installation Manual or call 800/433-9132 for further instructions.

Important Warning for Police Boats and Fire Rescue Boats

It has come to our attention that police boat and fire rescue boat sirens and speakers may subject persons operating those craft to sound pressure levels that can cause permanent hearing loss. We recommend that speakers be located as far forward on the boat as possible, as recommended in the SAE Recommended Practice J1849 “Emergency Vehicle Sirens”. However, unprotected exposures of a sufficient duration to properly located siren speakers can still create a risk of hearing loss.

It is our recommendation that your siren speakers should be relocated and persons operating these craft should wear hearing protection when using the siren system.

Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss to operators and passengers of these vehicles.
