Important Warning for Police Boats and Fire Rescue Boats

It has come to our attention that police boat and fire rescue boat sirens and speakers may subject persons operating those craft to sound pressure levels that can cause permanent hearing loss. We recommend that speakers be located as far forward on the boat as possible, as recommended in the SAE Recommended Practice J1849 "Emergency Vehicle Sirens". However, unprotected exposures of a sufficient duration to properly located siren speakers can still create a risk of hearing loss.

It is our recommendation that your siren speakers should be relocated and persons operating these craft should wear hearing protection when using the siren system.

Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss to operators and passengers of these vehicles.

Control Head and Amplifier
The PA300-CN controller utilizes the SmartSiren controller — the most recognized
control head in the law enforcement industry. The durable control head comes
equipped with seventeen easy to operate rubberized push-buttons and a
four-position slide switch control. This electronic siren offers the standard siren tones
(Wail, Yelp, Priority, Air Horn and Manual) with several additional features such as
horn ring transfer, radio and PA rebroadcast.
Relay Module
The relay module enables installers to connect discrete-wired lights and other
equipment to the FS Convergence Network. Four relay outputs drive two 10-amp
and two 15-amps outputs.
Serial Communication
Unlike traditional wired systems, the PA300-CN provides ease of installation and
programming with FS Convergence Network capability. Plug-n-play serial ports can
be used for connection from the PA300-CN remote control head to FS Convergence
Network lightbars and internal lighting systems.
